2018 has arrived and Sydney is ready to sparkle with lots of things to do in and around The Rocks at this time of year.
Tourists and locals alike prefer to start their day with a coffee (or two!) and we consider ourselves very lucky at Clocktower to have the “Best Coffee in Sydney” (as awarded by the Sydney Morning Herald) right on our doorstep at Danieli Fine Foods. Pop in for a delicious breakfast, their signature protein pancakes are a must and take a cup of their house blend Danieli coffee with you as you walk around our amazing neighbourhood.
The Rocks Markets are on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can easily while away the morning wandering amongst the stallholders sampling local delicacies, custom made jewellery, arts & craft and one-off artworks followed by a performance or two from talented buskers and street performers.
Spend the afternoon with The Rocks Walking Tours for an entertaining and informative 90 minute tour exploring and wandering down the hidden alleyways and courtyards our area is famous for, all the while learning and discovering the fascinating history of Early Australia in the Rocks. The tours are run twice daily and private tours can be customised to suit your needs- you won’t be disappointed!
Summer nights in Sydney are a special kind of wonderful and lend themselves beautifully to a harbour side stroll in search of dinner, cocktails or something sweet to end the night on – make it a night to remember and walk right round to the Opera House to enjoy a performance by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Their 2018 Summer program includes a series of family friendly concerts as well as a whole month of Mozart throughout February to inspire and engage you.
